AGM AND FREE COACH TRIP 

   Lefkara Association of Great Britain Succefull AGM

Coach seats now full.  If you have confirmed your seats by latest Sunday  27th June 2010 then you are guranteed a place.

The  AGM  of the Lefkara Association of Great Britain  took place last Sunday 20/06/10 at the Cypriot Community Centre Earlham Grove, Wood Green N22,
 
Lefkarites and those who come from the surrounding area were present. The AGM begun with a minute's silence in memory for all those Lefkarites and members  and for those who have given their lives for the freedom of the island of Cyprus and the Missing Cypriots. 
 
The chair George Savva gave the report and mentioned the Association's activities  ranging from the Seminars given by the association in conjuction with Safer Stronger Communities and Lottery Awards for all.
 
The chair thanked all the committee members for their valuable contribution to the noble cause of the association and those friends and supporters,  and has presented  the programme for future activities ranging from the promotion of Lefkara Lace and the staging of further seminars among other community oriented activities.
 
 
He has made a plea to the younger generation to join in the activities of the Association as it is now planning to have a roof of its own, to set up a base and to provide a better platform from where it can serve the community better.
 
 
The Treasurer Nicos Karous gave the financial report and the current state of the Association's Balances.
 
There followed a debate on a number of issues and queries that were put forward, were clarified by the chair and other committee members.
 
 
An election for committee  members to serve for the next two years  took place and the results are as follows.
 
Varnavas Varnavides, Nicos Karous, Chrysanthi Yapanis, Michael Koutas, Anna Kounis, Charis Cosma, Helen Loizou, Michael Kossifos, Kate Cosma, Chris Loizou,  Nina Makkofaidou,  Nitsa Karous, Michael Kossifos,    Chryso Phyrillas , George A Savva.
At the end of the meeting refreshments and cakes  were offered to all those present. 
 
 
 
The newly  elected members will be meeting next Tuesday 29th June 2010 at 7.30 at St Catherine's Church Hall  Friern Barnet Lane  N20 to elect the officers  to serve for the next two years.

Ο Σύνδεσμος Λευκαριτών Μεγάλης Βρετανίας καλεί όλα τα μέλη του Συνδέσμου στην ετησία Γενική Συνέλευσιν που θα λάβη χώραν την Κυριακή 20ην Ιουνίου 2010 και ώραν 4.00.μ.μ στο Κυπριακό Κοινοιτικό Κέντρο Earlham Grove, Wood N22 5HJ.
 
Καλούνται όλοι οι Λευκαρίτες, Κάτο Λευκαρίτες και κάτοκοι της τριγύρω περιοχής καθώς επίσης   φίλοι και υποστηρικτές του Συνδέσμου να είναι παρών.
 
 
                                        Εκδρομή Κυριακή 4ην Ιουλιου
 
Οσοι θα είναι παρών στη Γενική Συνέλευσιν θα τους δοθεί δωρεάν εισητήριο για την εκδρομή που διοργανώση  ο Σύνδεσμος για όλα τα μέλη φίλους και υποστηρικτές του Συνδέσμου  την Κυριακή 4ην Ιουλίου για την εκδρομή προς το Μοναστήρι του Αγίου Ιωάννη του Προδρόμου και κατόπιν προς το Clacton On Sea.
Αναχώρησις από το Enfield Town Silver Street  ΕΝ1 3ΧF και ώραν 7.45. π.μ.

Lefkara Association of Great Britain will hold its Annual AGM on Sunday 20th June 2010 at 4.00. p.m. at the Cypriot Community Centre Earlham Grove wood Green N22 5HJ All Lefkarites Kato Lefkarites and those who come from the surrounding, Friends and Supporters of the Association  area to be present at the AGM
 
                                               COACH TRIP 4TH JULY 2010
 
All those present at the AGM will be given a free coach trp to St John the Monstery in Essex and te to Calcton On Sea. The coach trip will take place on Sunday  4th July 2010 departing at 7.45 a.m  from Enfield
