OBITUARIES
KYRIAKOS MAKKOFAIDES KANARIS FROM VAVLA
It is with deep regret I write to inform you that Kryriakos Kanaris Makkofaides from Vavla has sadly passed away in the early hours of today Sunday 22/08/10
He is survived by his wife Nina Makkofaidou (a member of Lefakara Association of Great Britain ), 4 children Nicos, George, Pamela, and Andreas and 9 grand children and his brother Michael. Kanaris as he is better known came to England in the late 40's and lived for many years in Kentish Town area of North West London running a grocery shop with his wife Nina from Lefkara. More information as to the details of the Funeral and burial will be given in due course through LGR and Parikiaki. As our newsletter is already sent out it will not be possible to include this item but it will be included on the webside as we get the information through. We offer our sincere condolences to Nina and her sons and daughter, the grand children and all the bereaved relatives and friends. Kanaris was a very highly respected member in the community and was a very friendly and easy to get on with person. He was an excellent character and along with Nina have helped over a number of years many people. Instead of wreaths the family asks that donations be given to CCU North Middlessex Hospital. There will be a special box at the Church for donatioins on the day of the funeral. Eleni Savva from Pano Lefkara has sadly passed away on Tuesday 01/06/2010 at the age of 92 years, after a stroke and a short stay at the North Middlesex Hospital. Her husband Anastasios Savva passed away in 1984.
The late Eleni Savva leaves behind three sons George Savva, Savvas Savva, Andreas Savva.
9 grandchildren and 3 Great Grand children
Funeral arrangements are as follows.
Thursday 17th June 2010 at 10.00.a.m. Funeral service at St Demetrios Church Town Road/ Logan Road, London N 9 0LP
Burial at New Southgate Cemetery at Brunwick Park Road London N11 1JJ After the burial, the wake will take place at 47 Rylston Road London N13 5NQ All are welcome. No private invitations will be sent out .

από τα Λεύκαρα
Απεβίωσε την περασμένη Τρίτη 01/06/10 στο North Middlesex Hospital από επεισόδειο κόλπου.
Η εκλιπούσα ήλθεν στην Αγγλία το 1961 και κατοικούσε στη Περιοχή Finchley και αργότερα στο Palmers Green. Διακρινόταν για το ακέραιο χαρακτήρα της το ωραίο χιούμορ και ήτο υπόδειγμα καλού ανθρώπου και πολύ καλής μητέρας
Αφήνει πίσω τα τρία παιδιά της, Γιώργο, Σάββα και Ανδρέα, 9 εγγόνια και 3 δισέγγονα και τον αδελφό της Ανδρέα που κατοικά στη Κύπρο.
Ο σύζυγος της Αναστάσιος Σάββα πέθανε το 1984
